Vacation '09...Part II

My second chronicled staycation of 2009 has officially begun.
I finished work around 6:00 and drove to Blaine (yuck) to watch one of Jenne's cousins play hockey. They lost 5-3, but only because the refs blew a call on a 5-hole goal in the second period and it kind of took the wind out of the sails. It was a fun game to watch, even if the better team lost.

After the game, Jenne and I had a romantic dinner at the Maplewood Buffalo Wild Wings (I refuse to call it the alternate name, "BW-3's" since they changed from a bar to a family restaurant) where I glanced at the second half of the Vikings pre-season game and the last two innings of the Twins' blowout over Cleveland.
We found the food and service to be sufficient, but the decor and ambiance was a bit lacking.

To cap off the night, we went to see "The Timetraveller's Wife", where I fainted in the movie theater--causing a minor scene at one of the quietest scenes of the film; scaring Jenne to tears. I haven't fainted like that in over 11 years, and it's hard to explain why it happens, but I can say that it's mostly due to a very active imagination, crossed with heavy thoughts of internal bleeding. I won't say more, as not to ruin the film.
We thought the film was okay, but, of course, recommend the novel ten-fold over the film.

Tomorrow I hope to have a much more relaxing day, and hope to contain daytime consciousness for at least the next decade or so.
