I have an entire week off from work this week and I am not going anywhere.
I decided some time after Thanksgiving that I needed a break from The Midway before I lose my mind. Even though it took more than two months to get the much-needed and well-deserved time off, I have retained my sanity and I now have seven days to do whatever I want.
Originally I had planned on going snowboarding this week, but I didn't get my board tuned up and since the weather is forecasted to be over 32 degrees and slightly rainy, I decided not to persue that idea. Because I will be indoors for this week, I will try to post daily updates about what a man does with a week off and no obligations...except for school.
Monday:
I have started a chicken chili in the crock pot, though I still need to get a few ingredients from the grocery store. It's all in there except for chilis/jalepenos and beer. It's a good thing it takes over six hours to cook.
Before I hit Cub I need to go to Hamline and buy the 5th Edition of the Heath Anthology of American Literature...even though I already have the 4th Edition. I am supposed to get the 3rd edition of another book for another class too--I already have the 2nd, but it's "recommended" that I buy the 3rd. I am really starting to believe that professors get a kick-back from the book store/publisher if they teach material that only the latest edition has.
I might start utilizing Jenne's treadmill today too. Depending on how energetic I'm feeling after reading some early American literature.

where in the world do you have a treadmill stored?
Don't go too crazy. I have my crock pot going as well. Bon Appetit
